Why Frank Paul The Wrecking Ball Isn’t In The World Cup

By STEVE MASCORD

WIGAN prop Frank Paul Nuuausala has explained why he will not be playing for Samoa at the World Cup.
“Frank Paul The Wrecking Ball” is eligible for Samoa but has never played for them, with New Zealand capping the 30-year-old 15 times.
The 2017 World Cup would have been an ideal time for him to make his debut but he tells rugbyleaguehub.com: “I think my international career’s finished.
“It’s a long season. I’ll just chill with my family here and get ready.
“I’ve already played for New Zealand and I feel like I’d be taking someone’ spot in Samoa.
“Let a young kid have the chance to play on the international stage.”
Although ‘FPN’ will be missing from the World Cup, he’s already enjoyed two big occasions this year – Wigan’s World Club Challenge win over Cronulla and the Challenge Cup final loss to Hull.
He said of the Wembley game: “It’s awesome. You can’t describe it unless you go out there. I’ve been lucky enough to play in it twice.
“I’ve played in the NRL grand final and it’s on the same level. It tops Super League grand final by a mile, by far.”
