Seventeen-year-old halfback Riley Dean is set to replace injured star Blake Austin and make his Super League debut for Warrington this week against St Helens.
With Austin injured in the loss to Catalans, Dean is expected to get his chance on Thursday night against Saints.
Dean, who is a few days short of his 18th birthday, has impressed in Warrington’s Under-19s.
The playmaker can cover scrum-half, stand-off and fullback, and is an accomplished goalkicker.
Dean is a product of Siddal ARLFC, the junior club of Luke Robinson, Niall Evalds, Scott Grix and Kruise Leeming.
He represented Yorkshire in the Academy Origin series earlier this year.
In May Dean signed a new contract with Warrington extending his full-time deal until the end of 2021.
