LEIGH Centurions owner Derek Beaumont appears to be threatening to ban broadcast Premier Sports from entering the Sports Village to telecast the match against Toronto Wolfpack on February 4.
The game was already shaping as a grudge match, with coach Paul Rowley and a host of players heading from Leigh across the Atlantic over the past two years. Rowley quit his post at Leigh, initially without a job to go to.
“I can confirm @PremierSportsTV have no agreement with @LeighCenturions to show our game with @TOwolfpack despite their advertisement in @leagueexpress if they want to discuss the possibilities they are welcome to get in touch!,” Beaumont Tweeted.

Premier Sports – which has lost NRL rights – have announced they are covering all Wolfpack games this year.
When someone on Twitter suggested Beaumont would demand Stg250,000 for the one match to be covered, he replied: “What do I tell you about selling things too cheap?”
He later added: “Sky don’t get it for free pal they fund the sport so why should another broadcaster. I would rather a full house and a great atmosphere!”
The colourful Beaumont previously banned journalist John Davidson from the Sports Village in response to what he deemed unfavourable coverage.
Premier Sports currently has the Leigh-Toronto game in its schedule here
It looks to me like Premier have no contract with Leigh, so if they want to televise the rounds premier fixture he is willing to listen to what offers they will provide – £50k sounds about right to me as a starting figure
Leigh F###### grow up well not Leigh their supporters are great.
