Hull KR have been linked with an outside back transfer move involving a rival Super League club.

rugbyleaguehub.com Long Reads understands the Robins are set for squad change with fullback Niall Evalds departing the club.

Evalds was left out of Hull KR’s Challenge Cup win over Oldham last night.

Huddersfield has been mooted as the new home for the former England international.

It has been also been suggested that Catalans Dragons playmaker Arthur Mourgue could land at Craven Park now as Evalds’ replacement.

However, club CEO Paul Lakin has denied that Evalds will move to Catalans and Mourgue will arrive in his place.

Robins coach Willie Peters told the BBC he would be able “to share something on that [Evalds] in the next couple of days”.

Evalds started at fullback against Castleford, Wakefield and Salford this season, but missed the St Helens game with Jack Broadbent featuring.

The 31-year-old joined the Robins from Castleford at the end of 2023.

Peters has not responded to a request for comment this morning.

It is has been reported previously that Mourgue has signed for Hull KR for 2026.

Mourgue can cover fullback, halfback and five-eighth.
