Hull KR out to dine on Lam

BY JOHN DAVIDSON

Exclusive: Hull KR have launched a bid to sign Leigh Leopards halfback Lachlan Lam.

City rivals Hull FC tried to sign the PNG international last year, to no avail.

But according to several sources, Hull KR have now begun an effort to entice Lam to join them in 2026.

The playmaker is off-contract at Leigh at the end of this season.

The Robins are in the market for a new halfback with Tyrone May potentially departing the club at the end of this campaign.

May is off-contract and has publicly aired his desire to play alongside his two brothers.

Hull KR star Mikey Lewis has also recently shared his ambition to play in the NRL at some point.

Lam would be a quality replacement for either player.

He helped the Leopards win the Challenge Cup in 2023 and has been a key figure in the club’s rise.

Lam joined Leigh in 2022 from the NRL’s Sydney Roosters.

He has been named in Super League’s Dream Team before and has established himself as one of the best halfbacks in the competition.
