Wigan halfback Jarrod Sammut says league leaders St Helens are not perfect and can be beaten.
The two old rivals clash tonight at the Totally Wicked Stadium, with Saints suffering just two losses from 21 games this season.
The Warriors were defeated by St Helens the last time the two teams met both in January and April.
But Sammut is confident Wigan have what it takes to upset their derby opponents.
Adrian Lam’s men are on a five-game winning streak and have moved into the top five after a bad start to the season.
“No doubt they’ve been the in-form team and rightly deserve where they are at the moment,” the 32-year-old said.
“But I don’t think they’re perfect. There’s areas in their game that we could infiltrate and get some weaknesses.
“It’s not going to be easy. We need to be at the top of our game.
‘I think with the run of five wins that we’ve had puts us in a good stead.
“We need to make sure we put absolutely everything into it come Friday.
“We want the win, but again, St Helens aren’t going to roll over and just give it to us.
“I think it’s going to be a cracking game.”
