THE first round of this year’s Challenge Cup to involve Super League teams has thrown up a tie between two of the best – Leeds and St Helens.
Round three of rugby league’s most famous knockout competition was drawn at Victoria Park in Warrington on Monday morning following the completion of round two the previous day.
There are three other all-Super League matches: Catalans-Wakefield, Hull KR-Castleford and Leigh-Huddersfield.
Another interesting tie is Featherstone-Hull, the match-up for the famous 1983 final in which Rovers stunned the sport with a 14-12 victory. Super Leaguers Salford also face a tricky assignment with seven-time Challenge Cup winners Widnes.
All games will be played on the weekend of April 10-11.
