Guess who tops the Super League offload charts?

By JIMMY SMITH

TORONTO might be rooted to the bottom of the Super League table with no wins from their six games but there is still one Wolfpack member who has been able to make his presence felt in his first foray into the UK game.

In data supplied by industry leader Stats Perform, it will shock no one that Sonny Bill Williams – the triple code hopping superstar – has been able to offload more than anyone else in the (suspended) 2020 season. In just five appearances the 2004 RLIF Rookie of the Year has been able to find support 23 times at an average of 4.6 per game.

His nearest rivals in the Super League is Warrington duo, impressive centre Toby King and workhorse front row forward Mike Cooper, with 17 apiece. It has taken both players 7 appearances to achieve that number.

It is clear Wolfpack Coach Brian McDermott has an ace in veteran SBW, and helping other members of his team understand how he plays and what he can do for them will go a long way towards getting the Canadian team off the bottom of the ladder and away from (possible) relegation.
